Westhill Art Project - Library showing of our film

Westhill Art Project commissioned artists to hold our Gala event this summer called Show and Tell. Next week the renewable Art Pavilion they designed and made will be set up in the library, where you will be able to see the film they made. In the film, local residents tell us their thoughts and feelings about Westhill past and present. Come along and see it during normal library opening times, from Wednesday 26th - Saturday 29th October.
You can also see the film at www.tellwesthill.com

Gala Event helps the Westhill Art Project

Westhill Art Project held a successful 'Show and Tell' event at the Gala on Saturday June 4th. Many local residents shared their stories about life in Westhill with artist Callum Kellie, under the canopy of the cleverly designed pavillion by Ross Aitchison and Senan Killeen. The information gathered will help us in planning the next permanent Art work in our community.

Westhill Art Project - we'll be at the Gala!

Come and see us at the Gala on June 4th. We'll be there with three artists who are making the most amazing 'Renewable Art Pavilion' specially for the day. For their 'Show and Tell' event they want you to bring along any photo, object, story or song to share with us, anything which has made Westhill special to you. We'll film or photograph it or you or both, if you're happy for us to do that.
We'd also like your comments, thoughts and ideas on our project - are you as proud of our Compass as we are? Would you like to help organise the next phase of the project?
We look forward to seeing you on June 4th - bring the whole family, and don't forget to bring your 'Show and Tell' things.

Latest art project news

The group will have a stand again this year at the Westhill Gala on June 4. We are currently planning an arty event on that day, to raise awareness of the project, encourage people to join in, and help decide what the next permanent art work should be.
