1st Skene Boys Brigade

2011 BB Camp

During the first week of July 1st Skene BB camp at Badaguish kicked off with some splendid weather, our first full day was spent marshalling The Corrieyairack Challenge (Speyside) which is a charity event where you choose whether to walk, run, mountain bike or duathlon following in the footsteps of Bonnie Prince Charlie (47 miles) the challenge raises money in aid of the local charity for under privileged children this was a great success and the boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves by assisting with the route, bike maintenance, watering/food stations and in some cases first aid, check out the website for more pictures

During December, the Company Section boys delivered over 2000 Christmas cards ‘posted’ at Trinity and Skene churches around the Westhill and Kirkton of Skene area. Many thanks to those of you who again supported this. Also in December, Steven Abel of the Anchor Boys won first place in a Battalion colouring competition where the boys had to depict a Halloween scene.
