Over the coming months we have speakers entertaining us with talks on Deeside and Highland Charm, Birds in the Garden and the Scottish Open Gardens Scheme.

Inter-Club Quiz

The will not be a club meeting in September but we will be submitting a team at the Inter-Club Quiz being held on Wednesday 21st September, 2011.  The annual quiz takes place between garden clubs from Westhill, Kemnay, Newmachar and Dyce, each club taking it in turn to host the quiz.  This year is the turn of Kemnay and everyone is invited to the Village Hall, Kemnay to support their team and enjoy the tea and home bakes afterwards.

Garden Visit

The visit to Cruickshank Botanical Garden was a revelation for many of the members - we had never realised what was behind the lovely old stone walls surrounding the Zoology Department of the University.  The garden is open every day and entry is gained by using the gate in the Chanonry.  There you'll find an alpine garden, rose garden, herbaceous border and beautiful specimen trees, all carefully labelled.  Do pay them a visit and see for yourself.

Garden Visit

Garden club members are visiting Cruickshank Botanical Garden on Wednesday 15th June starting at 7pm. We will be shown around the gardens by the head gardener and are hoping for a warm, sunny evening.
