Westhill Rotary Club presents -

Around the World in Music 2012

You are invited to join us in our annual musical journey around the world whilst encouraging and enjoying local youth musical talent and supporting local and international charities. This will be the fourth annual charity concert of a highly successful and high quality series of concerts organised by the Rotary Club of Westhill and District.

Our programme this year will again be of songs from around the world including songs from some of your favourite musicals.

Once again Morag Simpson has trained school choirs from Cults, Hazlewood, Holy Family, Kingsford, Kittybrewster, and Loirston; the Aberdeen City Boys Choir, the Aberdeen and North East Youth Choir, Cults Primary Red Unit Drama Group as well as two senior choirs - Skene Singers and the Westhill Rotary male voice choir. This year we welcome Kittybrewster School as a new choir.

Also there will be individual performances by widely recognised very talented local youngsters - Liam Dyker, Cameron Nixon, Eleanor Cozens, Rachel Venturini, Amy McBain, Anna Matheson, Craig Brownhill, Samira N’ Dow, Eleanor House, Shannon Conboy, as well as the winner of our Rotary Young Musician of the Year competition Ruth Gilligan.

This year we are supporting three major charities with the proceeds from our concert – CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland), MacMillan Cancer Relief and the International Rotary Charity, End Polio Now, as well as many other contributions to local and international charities and disaster relief throughout the year.

The concert starts at 3pm and finishes at 5pm, with one interval.
